Int’l Conf. to Discuss Quran, Social Issues

TEHRAN (IQNA) – An international conference titled “The Quran and Issues of the Contemporary Society” is slated to start on May 10 in Iraq’s Karbala.

 

This will be the fourth International Imam Hussein (AS) Conference. The event has been organized by the Dar-ol-Quran Center of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine in Karbala with the cooperation of Alzahra University in Karbala.

April 25 has been announced the deadline for submitting papers to the conference.

Models of social relations from the Quran’s perspective, the ideal society according to the Quran, and the Quran and cultural developments are among the main topics of the conference.

The event aims to explain the correct approach that the Quran presents for improving society, make Muslims more aware of contemporary issues of the Muslim Ummah, improve the knowledge of Quranic researchers, and address contemporary issues of the Muslim Ummah with a Quranic viewpoint.

Submitted papers should have not been sent or published in any other event or journal and should be between 20 to 25 pages.

The three-day event will be held in person and those researchers who cannot take part physically can join via Zoom.
