Qaris from Iran, Iraq, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Egypt and the Philippines recited verses from the Holy Book at the program.

It was organized at the Imam Khomeini (RA) hall of the Culture House with the participation of a number of scholars as well as those interested in the Quranic culture coming from different cities of Pakistan.

Iranian Quran master Ali Reza Rezaei, who is an official qari of the Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine in Mashhad, was among those reciting the Quran at the event.

Head of the Culture House Mehran Eskandarian addressed the program, underling the importance of Muslim unity based on Quranic verses.

He referred to verse 103 of Surah Al Imran, “And hold fast to the Bond of Allah, together, and do not scatter,” and verse 10 of Surah Al-Hujurat, “Believers are indeed brothers,” to highlight the emphasis that the Quran lays on unity.

Pakistani cleric Allameh Abed Hussein Shakeri was another speaker at the Quranic circle. He said the Holy Quran is the pivot of Islamic unity and that holding such programs is a step toward enhancing unity and rapport among Shia and Sunni Muslims.
