Int’l Islamic Art Festival Wraps Up in Pakistan’s Lahore

TEHRAN (IQNA) – An International Islamic Art Festival held in Lahore, Pakistan, with the participation of several Muslim countries concluded on Sunday.

The four-day event was organized by Lahore Arts Council, Alhamra, and Pakistan Arts Council, Karachi.

Delegates and intellectuals, scholars, and artists from Pakistan and other Muslim countries, including Turkey, Iran, Yemen and Saudi Arabia, participated in the festival.

On the last day of the festival, seminars, exhibitions, calligraphy competitions, and other activities continued in which people in large numbers participated.

A large audience of all ages was present in the workshop on calligraphy manuscripts, Yemeni research scholar and master calligrapher Dr Zaki Ali Al Hashmi provided the training. In addition to the workshop and exhibition, various book fairs and stalls set up in Alhamra also became the center of public attention.

Provincial Finance Minister Sardar Mohsin Leghari was the chief guest at the closing ceremony.

Speaking at the event, Leghari said peace, development and prosperity of the world are due to the principles given by Islam. Islamic values are the guarantor of perfection of the individual and society.

Chairman Alhamra Razi Ahmad and Executive Director Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi expressed their heartfelt thanks to the delegates from all over the world and the scholars and other influential personalities from different corners of the country.

The distribution of certificates and souvenirs was also exchanged in the farewell ceremony.
