TEHRAN (IQNA) – Having a deep love of God is an innate characteristic. Knowing the true love, one can rescue from fabricated loves.

Religious scholar and researcher Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Ali Khosravi made the remark in the seventh session of a series on “Monotheism in Quran”. Excerpts from his remarks are as follows:

The Holy Quran talks about paths of love and wisdom for reaching God and felicity. These two are not contradicting but complementary.

Love without wisdom and wisdom without love are incomplete. The Holy Quran describes “People of understanding” as those who “remember Allah” and “contemplate”. It then notes that “the strongest of the believers' love is their love of God”.

The love for God is innate to human beings and this love is inseparable.

A section of Al-Sha'baniyya Supplication reads: “O my God, I don't have the strength to move from disobeying You, except when You woke me up to Your love, and I was as You wanted me to be, then I thanked You for entering me to Your munificence, and purifying my heart from the filth of neglecting You.”

This section notes that the love for God is the key to purifying one’s heart and staying away from sins.

Love is the only thing that can set us free from temptations and sins.

Understanding the sublime love of God, one can rescue from fabricated and false loves.
