TEHRAN (IQNA) – It is impossible to force someone to love someone or something else even if all wealth of the universe is spent on that goal. Love originates from beauty.

Religious scholar and researcher Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Ali Khosravi made the remark in the eighth session of a series on “Monotheism in Quran”. Excerpts from his remarks are as follows:

In this session, we will briefly discuss the source that love originates from.

Love cannot be made using force and coercion. It is impossible to force someone to love someone or something else even if all wealth of the universe is spent on that goal. Love originates from beauty.

When someone sees a beautiful flower, they feel love for it. This beauty can relate to apparent features such as that of a flower or to inner beauties such as knowledge, honesty, etc. which are far more powerful than apparent traits.

God is the Most Beautiful and all beauties belong to Him. When humans become able to see these beauties, they will fall in love. So to reach the true love of God, we are in need of seeing His beauties and they can be witnessed all around us.

“To Allah belong the east and the west. Whichever way you turn, there is the Face of Allah. He is the Embracer, the Knower.” (Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 115)

We hope that we could stop negligence and try to see the beauties of the creation, read the Quran, worship God, and get closer to Him.
