TEHRAN (IQNA) – The path is not closed and man can reach God through both the path of love and beauties and the path of rationality and wisdom.

Contemplating a holy book

Religious scholar and researcher Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Ali Khosravi made the remark in the sixth session of a series on “Monotheism in Quran”. Excerpts from his remarks are as follows:

The issue of getting closer to God and making the best of each verse of the Quran is a very important and necessary issue so that by reading the verses, we can reduce our distance from God. This requires some backgrounds.

God has created two forces in us. One of them is love and other is wisdom. Both of them help us get closer to God.

The means and paths for getting closer to God that exist in people’s life, mind and soul are numerous. Provided that we want to reach Him, the path is prepared for us: “Indeed, We have guided him to the path, he is either grateful or ungrateful.” (Verse 3 of Surah Al-Insan)

So based on this verse, the path is shown to those who want to take it. Someone said, “We have given up and are in hopelessness and doubt”. But the fact is that the path is not closed. With a little attention and reminding, one can reach God both through the path of love and beauties and through the path of rationality and wisdom.

I hope God will help us to be more successful on the path to reaching Him, which is the path of humans’ salvation.
