“The culture Islam introduced to the world is profoundly comprehensive, with monotheism at its core. During the zenith of Islamic civilization, the visible influence of religion and faith significantly contributed to the remarkable scientific advancements and intellectual achievements of Islamic scholars,” reads an introductory statement to the conference as mentioned in its website.
“In modern times, the awakening of Islamic societies and the revolutions against colonialism have spurred Islamic thinkers to contemplate the revival of Islamic civilization, adapting its scientific components to fit contemporary contexts,” it said.
“Consequently, the revival and return to the peak and prosperity of Islamic civilization have been central to Muslim intellectuals in recent decades as each thinker has approached this goal from unique perspectives, offering strategic insights on how to achieve it,” it noted.
The will explore the integration of science with religious teachings and social ethics through the perspectives of Islamic scholars and scientists, it added.
