Iran President Urges Application of Quranic Teachings in Daily Life

He made the remarks while addressing the 30th Congress for Honoring Quran Servants in Tehran. The event was held on Sunday on the sidelines of the final night of the 32nd Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition at Imam Khomeini Mosalla.

“One of the challenges I sense in society today is the lack of practice when it comes to the teachings of the Holy Quran,” Pezeshkian said.

Quoting verse 19 of Surah Al-Isra' which reads, “Indeed this Quran guides to what is most upright,” he stressed that these teachings should manifest in all aspects of life.

“We cannot claim that the Quran shows us the way while, at the same time, we exhibit flaws in behavior, knowledge, ethics, and management,” he added.

The president pointed to the importance of nurturing students and young people to become impactful members of society. “We read the Quran because it brings reward. But this reward is only meaningful when the Quran influences our thoughts and ideas. Without this impact, reading it thousands of times would be of no benefit.”

President Pezeshkian urged educators and leaders to instill a deeper understanding of the Quran among youth, particularly students. “It is enough to grasp the depth of the matter and recognize that the Quran has the power to transform and revolutionize,” he said.
