“This plan was first submitted to [Israeli prime minister Benjamin] Netanyahu so that, by adding certain clauses, the full demands of the Zionist regime could be incorporated into it,” Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said in a televised speech on Thursday evening.
Trump’s plan is aimed at stripping Palestinians of their rights, entrenching Israeli dominance, and turning the region into a Zionist stronghold, he added.
Under the plan, Houthi said, no form of Palestinian sovereignty over Gaza is envisioned, and even the title “State of Palestine” has not been accepted, not even symbolically.
The White House announced the plan that purportedly calls for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the exchange of Israeli captives held by Hamas for Palestinians languishing in Israeli prisons, and a phased Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.
Under the proposal, Hamas would be required to disarm, and the US would work with Arab and international partners to install a so-called “temporary international stabilization force.”
The plan also stipulates that Hamas would have no role in governing Gaza. Instead, it proposes establishing an administrative committee controlled by the U, the UK, and other countries, excluding even the West Bank-based Palestinian Authority, the Yemeni leader added.
“Israel, in this plan, has demanded the disarmament of the resistance and the expulsion of the fighters from Gaza. These clauses are part of an effort to turn Gaza into a region devoid of any presence of resistance forces,” Houthi warned.
Referring to Britain’s colonial history in Palestine, the Ansarullah leader said that just as the UK handed Palestine over to the Zionists, the United States is now repeating this pattern.
He emphasized that Trump’s recognition of al-Quds as the “capital” of the Israeli regime represents one of the gravest crimes committed against the Palestinian people and the broader Islamic nation.
He also warned that the US is seeking to involve Arab countries in the Israeli regime’s security project.
“Trump explicitly demanded that the Arab countries assume responsibility for disarming the Palestinian resistance, and this disgraceful mission is a betrayal of the Palestinian people,” Houthi warned.
Addressing Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza, which began in October 2023, the Yemeni leader emphasized that despite the conclusion of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly and widespread global condemnation, the Israeli regime continues its campaign of violence against the Palestinian people.
He added that these atrocities are being carried out with full participation and support from the United States, accompanied by the “shameful silence” of Arab and Islamic governments.

“The children of Gaza have either been martyred, or are suffering from starvation, or are threatened under the fire of bombardment. The Zionist enemy proudly targets women and children, seeking in these savage crimes both pleasure and a display of power,” he added.
“What is happening in Gaza is beyond description, and must be followed carefully so that a sense of responsibility remains alive in the world,” Houthi stressed, noting that ignoring what is happening in Gaza is a betrayal of humanity and the realities of the region, with grave consequences for the Islamic nation.
Referring to the Gaza-bound Global Sumud Flotilla, he described the move as one of the most prominent symbols of global solidarity with Palestine.
“This is the 38th attempt by activists to break the siege of Gaza. Despite the dangers, they set out with the aim of delivering aid to the oppressed people of Gaza, but, as in previous instances, the Israeli regime attacked the ships, abducted the activists, and confiscated the aid.”
The Global Sumud Flotilla, the Ansarullah chief said, succeeded in exposing the true face of the Israeli regime and in drawing global attention to the suffering of the Palestinian people.
“Through their action, these activists have left no excuse for the Islamic nation and for the world,” Houthi added.

Yemeni forces have conducted hundreds of missile and drone operations against the Israeli regime so far as a direct message to Tel Aviv, saying they will continue their missile and drone strikes until the war on Gaza ends and the siege is lifted.
They stress that this action is part of a wider campaign to support the Palestinian people, who have endured weeks of relentless bombardment that has killed thousands, including women and children.
