
Ismail Douidar, head of the Quran Radio, announced the plan for recording of new recitations in cooperation with the National Media Organization of Egypt and Al-Azhar in the near future.
He told Cairo 24, “We are still in the process of selecting the recording officials and have not yet reached the stage of actually recording the recitations.”
Douidar added that this project includes recording 3 new recitations, bringing the total number of radio recitations to 7.”
According to him, the recitations will be in the Tarteel and they will be performed by Al-Azhar qaris.
“Last week, I met with Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Sheikh of Al-Azhar, and during this meeting, the details of this project and its mechanisms were discussed.”
Dovidar noted that this project will be implemented in order to maintain the status of the Quran Radio, strengthen the religious mission of this radio, and provide Quranic recitations according to the highest approved standards.
