Ja’far Fardi will represent Iran in the recitation category of the international contest.
He will be the fifth contestant to go on stage in this category on the second day of the competition.
Memorizers of the entire Quran from all over the world will also compete today and Behzad Hazhbari will compete for Iran in this category.
This edition of the international Quran contest began on May 27 with the participation of 120 Quran reciters and memorizers from more than 70 countries.
It will be underway at Tehran's Summit Conference Hall until June 2.
The annual competition is held by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization to encourage the public to read the Holy Quran and to act upon the teachings of the Holy Quran.
On the sidelines of this year's competition, a Quranic exhibition is being held in which some 60 booths showcase Quranic works and products.
