Illiterate Woman Memorizes Entire Quran
TEHRAN (IQNA) – An illiterate 78-year-old woman in Saudi Arabia has managed to learn the entire Quran by heart.
Umm Khalid al-Yabisi made the achievement after taking Quran memorization courses for 27 years, akhbar24 website reported.
The Quran Memorization Society of Unaizah in the Al Qassim Province, where she lives, praised the woman for her efforts and persistence on the path of Quran memorization.
The Holy Quran is the only religious Scripture that is memorized by its followers.
Innumerable persons in every Muslim community have memorized the Quran since the first day it was revealed.
The Quran has 30 Juzes (parts), 114 Surahs (chapters) and 6,236 verses.
