The Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies hosted the scholarly event, which was attended by thinkers and scholars from Iran and a number of other countries, including India, Pakistan, Iraq, Russia, Oman,. Bangladesh, and Afghanistan.
The main theme of the third edition of the congress was “Culture of Peace in Seerah and Thought of Imam Ali (AS)”.
Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Sajjad Alamolhoda, head of the Imam Ali (AS) Studies Center that organized the congress, was one of the speakers.
He underlined that the thoughts and Seerah of Imam Ali (AS), especially during his time as ruler of the Islamic society, are filled with teachings that all Muslims should benefit from.
They are even beneficial for non-Muslims the cleric added.
He also noted that hundreds of papers were submitted to the secretariat of the congress, 180 of which were accepted.
