TEHRAN (IQNA) – Registration for an upcoming competition on Tarteel recitation and memorization of the Quran started on April 1 in the city of Aden, Yemen.

The contest is slated to be organized in the holy month of Ramadan,

The Huna Aden Radio will broadcast the competition, which will be held in seven categories for different age groups.

Memorization of short Surahs of the Quran and the 30th Juz (part) respectively for children under 8 and 10 years of age, memorization of three and five Juzes for teenagers under 12 and 15, memorization of ten and twenty Juzes for the youth under 17 and 20, and memorization of the entire Quran for the participants aged less than 30 are the categories of the competition.

Quranic activities continue in different parts of Yemen despite a more-than-five-year aggression launched by Saudi Arabia and its allies against the impoverished Arab country that has left thousands killed and many more injured and homeless.
