Old Photos of Imam Ali (AS) Holy Shrine
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Imam Ali (AS) Islamic Center in Stockholm, Sweden, posted online some old photos of the holy shrine of Imam Ali (AS).
Thursday, February 25, was the 13th day of the lunar Hijri month of Rajab, marking the birth anniversary of the first Imam (AS).
On this auspicious occasion, the Swedish Islamic center shared online some old photos of the Imam’s holy shrine, which is located in Najaf, Iraq.
Imam Ali (AS) was Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s highly revered son-in-law and cousin as well as the first Imam in Shia Islam.
The Imam is respected for his courage, knowledge, belief, honesty, unbending devotion to Islam, deep loyalty to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), equal treatment of all Muslims and generosity in forgiving his defeated enemies.
Shia Muslims and others celebrated the auspicious occasion in Iraq, Iran, and other parts of the world.
