Mosques and Islamic Centers Open Doors in Switzerland

Mosques and Islamic centers in Switzerland will open doors to non-Muslims on November 9, in Vaud Canton of Switzerland.


According to rougefm website, the program will be organized by the Union of Muslims Associations of the region from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. local time.



The union announced that 9 Islamic centers and mosques of the region are ready to host non-Muslim citizens today and get them acquainted with Islamic teachings.



It is also noted that officials of the centers will directly meet the visitors, talk to them and answer their questions and doubts about the Holy Quran and status of human being in the world in view of Islam.



In their meetings with the citizens, the officials and scholars will also clarify the necessity of dialogue among religions and cultures.



Vaud is the third largest of Swiss Cantons by population and fourth by size. It had 725,944 inhabitants as of 2011. There are about 25000 Muslims from various parts of the world residing in this region.
