“Philosophy of Jurisprudence Principles” Nat’l Forum in Qom

On the World Philosophy Day, the first edition of a national forum titled “Philosophy of Jurisprudence Principles” will be organized by the Research Institute of Islamic Culture and Thought in the holy city of Qom.


According to IQNA’s branch in Qom, Mas’oud Fayyazi, scientific secretary of the forum said that the Department of Logic for Understanding of Religion in the Research Center of Wisdom and Religion Studies of the institute will host the program.



He added that the World Philosophy Day has always been considered as an opportunity to honor the scientific and spiritual character of a Muslim scholar and to present the scientific society of the country with a new intellectual and spiritual issue.



The scientific secretary of the forum noted that the scientific and intellectual character of Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Hussein Gharavi Esfahani, the great scholar and eminent jurist who was a follower of Usuli school of thought and one of the famous students of Akhund Khorasani, will be honored this year.



Ayatollah Borujerdi, Allama Tabataba’i, Ayatollah Kuhkamari, Ayatollah Bahjat and many other contemporary scholars were also students of the late Ayatollah Gharavi Esfahani.



The main theme of the forum will be the philosophy of the principles of jurisprudence which will be investigated based on the thoughts of the late scholar.



The national program will be held on November 20 from 6 to 9 p.m. local time with the participation of lecturers and scholars from seminary schools and universities, philosophers, students and researchers.
