Tarouti Extends Condolences over Akasha’s Death

Renowned Egptian Quran reciter Abdul Fattah Tarouti has extended condolences over the demise of his fellow Quran reciter Sheikh Abdul Aziz Akasha.

Issuing a statement on his website, Tarouti extended condolences to the Quranic community of Egypt and the Muslim world over the death of the prominent Qari.

He underlined in the statement that Akasha had an outstanding ethical character and great behavior.

He noted that Akasha was buried on Sunday, December 15, in Al-Rahman Mosque in Egypt’s capital of Cairo.

Tarouti prayed God to bestow His infinite mercy to Akasha’s soul and grant peace to the bereaved family members.

A memorial ceremony for Sheikh Akasha was held Sunday night in Cairo, the website added.

Akasha died at the age of 65. He was among the golden generation of Egyptian Qaris along with masters such as Abolainain Shoaisha, Shahat Muhammad Anwar, and Muhammad Al-Hilbawi.
