Zamira Akbagysheva made the remark in a meeting with the Iranian Cultural Attaché in Kyrgyzstan Ali Kebriyayizadeh, IQNA’s Central Asia branch reported.
She said while Iranian women have always played a major role in social and cultural fields, the victory of the revolution elevated their status.
She hoped that the two countries’ women can learn more about one another’s abilities and potentials and exchange experiences to better help the development of the two societies.
Akbagysheva also elaborated on the history of Kyrgyzstan's Congress of Women, saying that it was established in 1993 and has 222000 members cross Kyrgyzstan’s provinces.
Iran’s Cultural Attaché in Kyrgyzstan for his part stressed the historical, cultural and civilizational common grounds between Iran and Kyrgyzstan and hoped for the development of ties and cooperation between the two countries.
Kebriyayizadeh also pointed to the achievements of Iranian women since the victory of the Islamic Revolution and said the successful presence of women in the Iranian society, which is an accomplishment of the Islamic Revolution, has promoted the status of women and family.
