Internationally-Known Quran Reciters Introduced to European Muslims

Top internationally-known Qaris and Tarteel reciters of the Holy Quran were introduced to European Muslims in a seminar held on January 4 in Brussels, Belgium.


According to Morocco’s official news agency, the seminar titled “Quran, Tarteel, Sermon, and Values” was organized in cooperation with the Council of Moroccan Scholars in Europe.



A large number of Quran reciters from Morocco, Egypt, Turkey, Iran, Germany, France and Belgium attended the seminar.



Encouraging European Muslims to read and memorize the Holy Quran’s verses, investigation of Quranic concepts in order to understand moral and human teachings and values which Islam invites to and presenting the beauty of the Holy Quran’s meanings through various recitations of its verses were among the objectives of the program.



The seminar was also held to introduce the internationally known Quran reciters of Arab and Islamic countries to the Muslim society.



The council announced that the program was planned taking into account the cultural and religious diversity in Brussels and the fact that the city has a large number of Muslim population in Europe.



Established in 2010 in Brussels, The Council of Moroccan Scholars in Europe tries to promote dialogue among religions and cultures in European societies.



The religious and intellectual affairs of Moroccans, particularly Muslims residing in Europe, are the major fields which the council deals with.
