An international project for donating 1 million copies of the Holy Quran is set to get underway in Malaysia later this year.

The Restou Foundation is organizing the project based on which 1 million copies of the Holy Book and its translations in different languages will be distributed within Malaysia and in other countries, IINA reported.

They will be distributed in the holy month of Ramadan (July-August 2014).

Head of Restou’s Board of Directors Abdul Latif Mirassa said Malaysia’s interior ministry will cooperate in implementing the project.

He said the Quran will be translated into languages such as English, Malay, Hindi, and some African languages and printed for distribution.

Mirassa added the foundation has previously distributed 50,000 copies of the Quran in countries like Cambodia and China.
