Al-Mansoura Mosque, located in the city of Raqqa, was destroyed by elements from the al-Qaeda-affiliated group the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), Al-Alam news network reported.
Syria has been gripped by deadly crisis since 2011. The Western powers and their regional allies are supporting the militants operating such as the ISIS.
On Monday, January 20, another terrorist group called Al-Jibha Alp-Islamiya (the Islamic front) detonated two car bombs in the Bab al-Hawa area near the Syria-Turkey border.
The two bombings left several people dead or injured.
