Top Quran Experts Invited to Judge in Egypt Int’l Quran Competition

Egypt’s minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs has called on Arab and Islamic countries to send their top Quran experts to serve as jury members in Egypt’s International Quran Competition.

Muhammad Mukhtar Guma has sent letters to Awqaf ministers of countries like Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Mauritania, the UAE, Senegal, and Sudan asking them to introduce their prominent Quran experts to competition organizers, Wito website reported.

Invitations have also been sent to tens of Muslim and Arab countries to introduce their representatives in different categories of the competition.  

Egypt’s 21st International Holy Quran Competition is slated for April 5- 10 in the country’s capital of Cairo.

It will be held in several categories including memorization of the entrie Quran along with Tajweed and memorization of 20 Juzes (parts) of the Quran.
