Head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) said the Quranic activities of Iranian cultural centers abroad will continue.

Speaking to IQNA, Abuzar Ebrahimi Torkaman said these activities include establishment of Dar-ol-Quran centers, mounting Quranic exhibitions, participating in Quran competitions and inviting Quranic representatives of other countries to Iran.

He added that the organization and its cultural centers abroad continue to distribute the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Mus’haf published for Arab and other countries.

“Translation of some Quran exegeses written by great Iranian Mufasirs (Quran interpeters)  is also on our agenda,” Ebrahimi Torkaman stated.

He referred to the upcoming Ten-day Fajr (dawn) celebrations on the occasion of the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory and said Iranian cultural centers abroad have planned various programs for the occasion.

The ICRO head said the programs include holding forums, exhibitions, arts programs, competitions and speeches featuring the discourse of the Islamic Revolution and the ideas of the late founder of the Islamic republic of Iran Imam Khomeini (RA).

He further said that in the current sensitive juncture in which Takfiri activities and extremist ideas are on the rise, fostering the sublime teachings of the Holy Quran is necessary and that is what the ICRO pays special attention to.

Abuzar Ebrahimi Torkaman has recently been appointed by the minister of culture and Islamic guidance as the new head of the ICRO.
