Competition of Quran Recitation to Be Held in Pyatigorsk

On April 19th Competition of Quran recitation will take place in Pyatigorsk, the press service of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Stavropol region reports.

There will be two age groups. The first group will consist of young contestants, who will compete in two age categories: under 10 years and from 11 to 14 years old inclusive.
The second group will consist of adults, who are interested in participation, including the imams of the Stavropol region.
According to the Mufti of Stavropol region Muhammad Rakhimov, we should foster love for the Holy Quran to younger generation, to arouse their interest in acquiring knowledge of the religion, to encourage them in it.
"If a Muslim understands the sense of the Quran correctly, he will never be misguided” , he said.
