The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) and the Muslim American Society (MAS) plan to hold a Quran competition in May.

The competition will be held on May 25 for three age groups of 8 to 10, 11 to 13 and 14 to 16 year-olds and the contenders will be tested on memorization, Tajweed and fluency, according to icnaconvention.org website.
There will be 2 winning positions for each age group, 6 winning positions for boys and 6 positions for girls.
The contest will take place on the sidelines of the ICNA-MAS 39th Annual Convention, scheduled for May 24-26 in the US city of Baltimore, Maryland.
Renowned speakers and thinkers from across the United States will gather to shed light on these very fundamental principles of Islam.
They will tell how through faith, submission and service the hearts were ignited and the light of Islam reached every nook and corner of this globe.
