The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) roundly condemned Israeli occupation authorities’ decision to build new settlements in East al-Quds and the West Bank.

In a press release, ISESCO said the decision by Israeli Housing Minister Uri Ariel to give approval for a plan to build 1,100 settler units in the West Bank and 400 more in East al-Quds, in direct response to the formation of the National Palestinian Unity Government, was a blatant affront to international community and UN resolutions and a provocation to the entire Muslim world.
In the same vein, ISESCO called on the Member States and the United Nations to take a firm position to prevent the Israeli occupation authorities from pressing ahead with this aggressive plan which constitutes a breach of peace and security in the region and an obstacle to peaceful solution between Palestinians and Israelis.
