He added that the forums, sessions and programs held at this edition of the exhibit shows a progress made compared to the previous editions.
Mahjoub described the Quran exhibition as a venue for promoting the Quranic teachings and said funds allocated by the Majlis (Iranian parliament) for Quranic activities should be used to enhance the expo and strengthen people's relation with the Holy Book.
He added that efforts should be made to pave the way for people from all walks of life to visit the Quran expo.
The international Quran exhibition, which is underway at the Holy Defense Garden-Museum, will run until July 13.
Several sections including academics, international, children, and digital media have been arranged during the exhibit.
Visitors can find cultural products, books and CDs with the central theme of the Quran in the exhibition.
