Palestinians Portraying New Concept of Resistance
Speaking to IQNA, Abdul Rauf al-Shayib added that eh Palestinians are scarifying for the sake of resistance and are determined to stand against aggression without retreating an iota from their demands.
He underlined that the Palestinian resistance in Gaza has presented a new heroic epic to world and a lesson for the Muslim and Arab world.
Palestine has proven to be capable of defending itself without needing the militaries of other countries, al-Shayib stated.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he criticized the conduct of the so-called advocates of human rights and democracy in eth West and said their performance vis-à-vis the tragedies in the Gaza Strip has been disgraceful.
The Bahraini activist noted that the Zionist regime's atrocities in Gaza are carried out with support from the US and European countries.
"[These supports] are clear indication that their slogans about democracy, justice, human rights, peace and security in the region are but lies."
Al-Shayib underscored that such a disgraceful stance by the West has raised awareness among the world people about the dishonesty of the so-called advocates of human rights and democracy.
Nearly 1,900 people have been killed and over 9,500 others injured by the Israeli regime’s offensive against Gaza, which began on July 8.
Meanwhile a three-day truce took effect at 8 a.m. (0500 GMT) on Tuesday and Israeli troops withdrew from the coastal enclave.
Al-Shayib also touched on the silence of certain Arab world countries over the atrocities in Gaza and said rulers of these Arab countries clearly receive their orders from the US and Britain.
