Si Abdullah Jassim al-Ziyara, an official with the Doha Youth Center, the organizer of the contest, announced the names of the top winners, Al-raya daily reported.
According to al-Zayara, Badr hamid Muhammad, Shoqi Muhammad Abdul Rahman and Khalid Luqman ranked first to the third, respectively.
Titled "Tadabbur fi Quran" (pondering over the Quran), the competition was held in Ramadan this year (June-July) with the participation of 400 Qatari boys and girls.
The contenders answered questions on the concepts and teachings of the Holy Quran.
Winners of the competition will be awarded cash prizes of up to 1000 Qatari rials.
