Winners of Oman Quran Memorization Contest Announced

Organizers of the annual Quran memorization competition of Oman have announced the top winners of the contest.

They were awarded in a ceremony held Monday night in the city of Salalah, al-Shabiba daily reported.
Head of the organizing committee and a number of Omani officials were present at the ceremony.
241 individuals had taken part in the competition, which was held with the aim of encouraging the youth and teenagers to memorize and recite the Quran.
33 winners in different categories were awarded at the closing ceremony.
The categories included memorization of the entire Quran as well as memorization of 15, 5, and 2 Juzes (sections) of the Holy Book.
