According to Al-Sharq newspaper, the project for construction of the centers and mosques in the African country has been put on the agenda by the foundation since the beginning of 2014 and will be completed by the end of this year.
The construction of 87 mosques and 41 Quran memorization centers has already been finished and the rest will be constructed in the near future.
The project approximately costs 14 million Qatari Rials, over 11000 Rials of which has been allocated to the construction of mosques and 656000 Rials to the centers.
The foundation’s main objective is to support religious and cultural activities and meet Muslims’ needs in Niger, taking into account that 95 percent of the country’s population is Muslim.
The projects have also provided good job opportunities for the country's citizens.
