Hojat-ol-Islam Ramezani in his Friday prayers sermons yesterday added that the messengers of God underlined the need for upholding human rights based and Divine principles, IQNA's Europe branch reported.
He elaborated on the two words 'right' and 'human', saying that rights have been given to humans by God and cover various dimensions of humans' life.
Hojat-ol-Islam Ramezani further cited verses from the Holy Quran, including verse 25 of Surah Nour, verse 73 of Surah al-Ana'am and verse 28 of Surah Fat'h in which the word Haq (right) has been mentioned.
"In Imam Sajjad's (AS) The Treatise of Rights, too, the word 'right' has been mentioned more than 50 times, which mostly refers to moral rights and the social aspect of rights," he went on to say.
