Terrorism, Middle East's Main Problem: Iranian President

Iran's President Hojat-ol-Islam Hassan Rouhani referred to violence and terrorism as the main problem in the Middle East region.

 Speaking in a meeting with Lebanon's Prime Minister in New York, Rouhani also regretted conspiracies to fan the flames of tribal and sectarian violence in some regional countries.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Iranian president voiced concern over the recent incidents in Lebanon and said Tehran attaches importance to enhanced national unity and  territorial integrity of Lebanon.    
He also described the Iranian and Lebanese nations as brotherly nations.
Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam, for his part, called for the development of ties between the two countries.
He also praised the Islamic Republic of Iran's role in helping to boost national unity in Lebanon.
