1st Specialized Quranic School Opens in Karbala

On the occasion of Eid Al-Qadir, the first specialized Quranic school affiliated to Dar-ol-Quran Center of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine was opened in the holy city of Karbala.


According to the information website of the center, the school has a capacity to host 150 girls and boys of the region.

Sheikh Hassan Al-Mansouri, head of the center said that Quranic sciences, methods and principles of reading the Holy Quran’s verses, methods of Quran memorization, Quranic culture and Islamic jurisprudence ad theology will be the courses to be instructed at the school.

Courses on Islamic ethics, educational sciences, sports, human development, Arabic and English languages, history, geography, math and computer have also been planned among the programs of the school.

Al-Mansouri added that the students who will successfully pass the three levels of education at the school will be granted certificates accredited by Iraq’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The students holding the school’s certificate can get permissions from various universities of Iraq to continue their studies.
