Seminar on Islamic View of Women and Family to Be Held in Indonesia

Iranian Cultural Center in Indonesia, will hold a seminar on “woman and family in view of Ja’fari and Shafe’i Schools of Thought” in Jogjakarta City.


According to the public relations office of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Sunan Kalijaga Islamic University will host the seminar.

Hojatullah Ebrahimian, Iranian cultural attaché in Jakarta said that the organization of the seminar was discussed in a meeting with the head of Women Studies Center of the university.

The title of the program was selected following the guidelines of the Supreme Leader to highlight the importance of women and family issues.

The program will be held in early 2015 with the participation of eminent scientific figures from Iran and Indonesia.

The Sunan Kalijaga Islamic University is an Indonesian university that offers study programs in the field of Islamic science. Currently the university offers programs in Adab, Da'wah, Sharia, Tarbiya, Usuluddin (principles of Islam), science and technology and social science and humanities.
