Akbar Salari, head of cultural and artistic office of Yazd Martyrs Foundation, said that the contest, aiming at making families familiar with Islamic teachings and beliefs, holy Prophet's life and Ashoora culture, will be held in fields like painting, Hadith memorization, book reading and Quran interpretation.
He also added that for defining the regulations of the contests, some sessions held with the presence of the head of Foundation, University professors and experts.
Referring to the great participation of families in the contests in the last years, he asserted "we hope that with such programs, people's presence in socio-cultural activities highly increase comparing to that of the previous years."
Ashoora is the tenth day of Moharram ,the day the beloved granson of the holy prophet of Islam ,Imam Hossein (AS) martyred alongside 72 of his devoted companions.
