Ayatollah Mojtahedi Tehrani Passes Away

Ayatollah Mojtahedi Tehrani , one of the most senior clerics of Tehran's Islamic seminaries passed away today at 11:30 a.m. in Tehran's Bazarganan hospital.

Hojat-ol-Islam Katouziyan , Ayatollah Mojtahedi's son-in-law, in an interview with IQNA confirmed the news.

Octogenarian Ayatollah Mojtahedi was admitted to Tehran's Bazarganan hospital last week upon deterioration of his health condition.


Hojat-ol-Islam Katouziyan said that the funeral procession of the late Ayatollah Tehrani will be held tomorrow in Tehran's Martyr Motahhari seminary school. Based on his will, the late Ayatollah Mojtahedi will be laid to rest in his own school, located at Tehran's Baazar complex.
