Meybod to Host the Quran Olympiad

-- A Quranic Olympiad for the country’s faculties of Quranic Sciences is to be held in Meybod, Yazd province, in May.
Rector of Meybod Faculty of Quranic Sciences, Hojat-ol-Islam Zaree, announced that the Olympiad is to be held in two separate sections for men and women. The will compete in a number of categories including recitation, interpretation, memorization, and Quranic themes and concepts.
Speaking at a session yesterday, April 9, he mentioned certain programs to be presented on the sidelines of the coming including a book fair, handicrafts exhibition, and visits to the province’s historical sites.
Referring to the 33rd National Quran Competition recently hosted by Yazd province, Zaree hoped that the future Quranic event would take place as prestigiously as possible by making use of the feedback gained from the recent competition.
