An artistic-Quranic plan titled “Quranic Verses in Art Form” was inaugurated on January 17 during a special ceremony in Quran Cultural Center, Tehran.

An artistic tableau illustrating verse 124 of Surah Tāhā saying “whosoever turns away from my remembrance, his life shall be narrow and on the day of resurrection we shall raise him blind” was also unveiled during the event.
Addressing the participants, head of Quran Cultural Center, Ali Akbar Toupchi appreciated the center’s efforts to promote the Quranic culture in society, expressing hope that the attempt would be pursued in future with more consistency.
“We should try to further acquaint people with selected verses of the Holy Book that can be used in their real life,” he went on to say.
Referring to the illustrated verse, he called for constantly thinking of God to avoid ignorance and live a less challenging life.
Also, Amir Khorakian, head of the Culture and Art Organization of Tehran Municipality, highlighted the importance of appreciating artistic works displaying Quranic verses.
“Artistic works are characterized by practical and technical features and are therefore appropriate means for conveying the lofty concepts of the Holy Quran to the public.”
He further thanked the creators of the Quranic artworks, expressing hope that similar valuable pieces of art would be produced in future to express Quranic meanings in aesthetic forms.
The plan “Quranic Verses in Art Form” has been organized by Quran Cultural Center to create artistic works ornamented with Quranic verses.
