Quran Conceptology Brings about Interpretive Advancement
Conceptology is a new science which is beyond Mufradat-al-Quran science and is different from the knowledge of interpretation, a Quran researcher says.
Hojat-ol-Islam Rasul Malekian Isfahani, Isfahan seminary scholar and researcher, told IQNA that conceptology is an important science in Quranic fields for it has priority over Mufradat AlQuran science (Quran’s vocabularies) and is totally different from Quran interpretation.
He added that various scientific and interpretive aspects of the Holy Quran need to be taken into consideration, stressing that Quran is a divine book revealed for man’s guidance.
Hojat-ol-Islam Malekian further explained that Quran scholars and centers ought to give primacy to fundamental principles of Quran interpretation adding that insufficient attention to basic rules of Quran interpretation is the root cause for lack of considerable progress in such an important field.
The religious researcher went on to say that so far some 10000 Quranic and interpretation books have been published by seminaries and Quran centers with the aim of clarifying the various aspects of Quranic teachings.
