Advisor to the deputy minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance in cultural affairs, Dariush Rezvani highlighted the significant role of authors and publishers in spreading the Islamic Awakening Tide, adding: “The movement is a unique cultural trend that has left remarkable effects in the world and can still be promoted through the works of writers, artists and filmmakers.”
“One important consequence is the overthrow of oppressive dictators that should be followed by other nations,” he went on to say, noting that the scholars’ dialogues and interactions with artists and authors in other countries can further introduce and spread the tide across the world.
Referring to the International Congress of Islamic Awakening Poetry that was held in Mashhad last year, he called for organizing of similar events concerning fiction and literature as well as other artistic areas such as cinema and conceptual art.
Rezvani further highlighted the ministry’s role in spreading the movement by supporting the publication of books written on the subject.
