Nat’l Quran Intensive Memorization Course Held in Dubai
An intensive course of Quran memorization was held nationwide on April 9, in Dubai .
According to Al-Bayan newspaper, the five-day course was carried out at Al-Warqa Grand Mosque of the country.
It was organized by the country’s Charity and Islamic Affairs in an attempt to promote the culture of memorizing the Holy Book all across the country.
Sheikh Abdullah Al-Kamali, an official with the organizing committee of the event, said in a statement that the course was held in order to “Disseminate the Islamic culture in the country and also get people especially the youth further acquainted with Islamic and Quran teachings”.
He added that Adhan (call to prayer), Quran reading, and Islamic and scientific forums were among the programs held on the side lines of the course.
