Announcing this in an interview with IQNA, Mahmoud Ali Rokni, director general of Qom province’s Environment Protection Organization said he has held preliminary talks with the chancellor of Al-Mustafa International University and educational deputy of Qom’s seminary for launching the majors, and that an agreement would soon be signed with the two centers.
He said ‘ethics and environment’, ‘philosophy and environment’, and ‘Fiqh and environment’ are some of the majors planned to be presented at the two scientific centers.
Rokni said that Islam stresses the importance of protecting the environment and there are many instructions to that effect.
He added that in order to spread environment protection culture in society, Islamic and Quranic instructions and guidelines about the environment should be promoted.
