As many as 1476 Quran recitation sessions are planned to be held in the country by Nedaye Malakout Institute this year.
Director of the institute Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Hossein Kousheshi told IQNA that the plan for holding the Quranic sessions is implemented in 5 stages.
A committee has been set up to oversee the plan, with internationally-known Quran reciter Hamed Shakernejad serving as its secretary, he said.
Hojat-ol-Islam Kousheshi noted that the sessions are held in cities’ main mosques with the participation of a prominent Quran reciter.
He said the main objective of the plan is identifying Quran recitation talents. “We have so many Quranic talents across the country who have remained unknown.”
The cleric predicted that nearly 4000 new Quranic talents will be identified by the end of the plan.
He went on to say that the first Quran recitation session will be held this Thursday, April 26, in Tehran with the participation of Hamed Shakernejad.
