Friendship Between Iranian, Palestinian Nations Deep-rooted

Head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) described the friendship between the two nations of Iran and Palestine as deep-rooted and permanent.
Dr Mohammad Baqer Khorramshad was speaking in a meeting with members of Iran-Palestine Friendship Society on Sunday, IQNA’s ICRO branch reported.
Dehshiri, ICRO’s education and research deputy, Abdol-Karim Sharqi who heads the society, Sheikh Abdullah Katamtu head of the society’s religious and scholar affairs committee, and Ali Joma head of its popular activities were also present at the meeting.
Dr Khorramshad referred to the issue of Palestinian resistance as an important issue that has become even more significant in the current juncture in which the supporters and opponents of Palestinian resistance seek to change the world’s fate.
He referred to the similarities between the Iranian nation’s fight with the enemies during the 8-year Sacred Defense and the Palestinian nation’s resistance against occupation and said Iranian people better than anyone else are aware of the sufferings of the Palestinian nation.
He stressed that Palestinians are resisting the enemies on behalf of all Muslims.
Also speaking at the meeting was Abdol-Karim Sharqi who presented a report on the objectives and activities of the Iran-Palestine Friendship Society.
He said it has carried out 300 political, cultural and social activities including organization of conferences, holding poetry recitation sessions and honoring personalities who are active in promoting the Palestinian cause.
