Tehran to Host Religion and Present-day Awakening Conference

An international conference titled “Religion and Present-day Awakening” is scheduled to begin tomorrow, April 30, in Tehran.
It is organized by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, IQNA’s ICRO branch reports.
A number of experts and religious officials from Albania, Ethiopia, Greece, Germany, South Korea, Russia, Sudan, Thailand, Canada, the Vatican, Lebanon, and Pakistan as well as the Islamic Republic of Iran will attend the two-day event.
They will discuss the role and status of religious leaders in the current Islamic Awakening Tide in the Muslim world as well as Europe and the US.
‘Role of the teachings of religions and faiths in elevating the awakening of thought’, ‘contemplation and human conscience’, ‘ role of messengers of religions in elevating and strengthening the foundations of thought’, and ‘role of religions’ followers in development of awareness and awakening in human societies’ are some of the themes of the conference.
