All cultural officials and organizations ought to take steps to promote the Quranic culture and the national media, in particular, is required to convey the Quranic message to the society and families in the best possible way, a member of the Assembly of Experts said.
Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Hashem Hosseini Bushehri added that propagating the Quranic and religious teachings via the national media can be extremely influential in reducing the level of social crimes and delinquencies.
“The media outlets are duty bound to introduce, propagate and disseminate information about Quranic activities in society to raise people’s awareness of Quranic topics.”
Highlighting the significant role of the Holy Quran in man’s individual and social life, he said: “Holding international Quran contests can help people develop closer relationship with the Book and will bring about lots of Divine blessings for the country, creating a sense of solidarity among Muslims.”
Hojat-ol-Islam Hosseini Bushehri further referred to Quran and Ma’aref TV’s live broadcast of Iran's 28th International Quran Competition last year, expressing hopes that this year’s edition would be covered more extensively by other TV networks as well.
The 29th edition of Iran's International Quran Contest is planned to be held with the participation of reciters and memorizers from 65 Muslim and non-Muslim countries on June 17-22 in Milad Tower, Tehran.
