Dr Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini made the remark in Moscow during a ceremony held to mark the launch of Iran’s Film Week in Russia.
He thanked Russia’s Culture Ministry for hosting the event, which is part of the Iranian Culture Week, and hoped Iran will host Russian artists next year.
Iran’s Ambassador to Russia also delivered a short speech in which he said there are extensive grounds for promoting Iranian culture and arts in Russia.
Russian art specialist Shakhov was another speaker who praised Iranian cinema as a never-ending source that was elevated by the Islamic Revolution.
Iran’s film week started with the screening of the movie “Days of Life” by Parviz Skeikhtadi in a Moscow movie theater.
