Mourning Ceremonies in Urdu Underway in Qom
The holy shrine of Hazrat Ma’soumeh (SA) has been hosting mourning ceremonies held for Urdu speaking pilgrims and residents of the holy city of Qom.
According to the holy shrine's office of public relations and international affairs, the ceremonies have been organized by the cultural and Quranic disseminations deputy of the holy shrine for the last 10 days of the Hijri month of Safar.
The mourning ceremonies on martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) began on Arbaeen (the 40th day after Ashura) and will continue until the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Reza (AS) on the 29th of Safar.
The programs include Quran recitation, Ashura supplication, poetry reading sessions, speeches and elegies in Urdu.
The Grand Mosque of the holy city of Qom hosts the programs after the evening prayers from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. every night.
